South Africa releases draft cryptocurrency regulation, which will implement bank management of Bitcoin
The Reserve Bank of South Africa has issued a consultation paper to regulate the development of cryptocurrencies in the region. However, the government seems to be introducing similar banking functions to the encryption market, contrary to the spirit represented by Bitcoin. The bank chose to refer to cryptocurrency as an encrypted “asset”, arguing that this distinction made it easier for authorities to enforce tax policies and various protection laws involving digital property. Launched such advisory documents in collaboration with the National Treasury, SAs, the Financial Sector Behavior Authority (FSCA) and the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC); the paper recognizes the importance of cryptocurrency as an “important financial technology innovation” Sex.
